I wish I had one of these YEARS ago!

I ordered on a whim a "mei tei" carrier sewn from an Amity mama who was custom making them. They are an Asian baby carrier and can be worn like a backpack (shown here) or like a snugli for a smaller baby. I'm realizing this would have been really helpful for Melissa and Maddy as well.

Its arrival was good timing - as poor Megan has bronchitis and wants to be held constantly. She's close enough into my body that I don't have to worry so much about banging her into things like with the tough traveller. I also could tell when she wet her diaper because my back suddenly felt WARM.

The other bonus to this carrier is that it is not bulky. It's small enough to fit into a diaper bag to take on walks in case Maddy needs to go in the stroller. Then I can carry one of the twins in this. It's also more breathable than my old sling was.

I thought maybe with the tying - it might be hard to figure out - but was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was; no complicated folding or knots. It was much easier to figure out than the twin sling was. (The twin sling was passed on to another twin mom.)
