New wading pool

Ally and I took Melissa, Michael and Maddy out this afternoon in search of a swingset for the backyard. Well EVERYONE was sold out of swingsets (at least the ones in OUR price range!). So we ended up bringing home a small plastic wading pool instead.
It's 5 ft in diameter and 1 foot deep. We looked at blow up plastic pools but they all said for ages 4+ or ages 6+. So this one will have to do for now.
Ally (pictured) and I added hot water to the pool to warm it up enough for the twins to go in. We brought down the bath toys and the kids had a blast!
The associate at Toys R Us had suggested we check for swingsets online. So I did that this afternoon and have ordered a swingset which should be delivered here in about 1 to 2 weeks and is being paid for by Allan's quarterly profit sharing - a cheque we weren't expecting!
It is the "big" birthday gift for Melissa, Michael and Maddy. They will just get small or just needed only (clothes etc) type items on their actual birthdays from us. But all 3 of them said that was fine with them - they really wanted the swingset more than anything. We believe them because they spend almost every nice day pestering us to take them to the co-op playground - but I usually have other things to do around the house. It'll be so much easier just to let them out the back door!

It's a redwing blackbird that hit our window. It ended up being o.k. and flew away.
